Ian Salt
Ian Salt is available to work with Contact Consulting on selected assignments that do not give rise to conflicts of interest with his current, part-time, appointment with the Department of Health. Within the Department his current post as National Programme Lead for Physical and Sensory Impairment within the Care Services Improvement Partnership. Prior to taking up that appointment Ian was Director of National Implementation Team for the Integrating Community Equipment Services programme within the Change Agent Team in the Department of Health.
Ian has unrivalled expertise in the field of equipment services and the delivery of services to people with a range of physical and sensory disabilities. From the broad strategic issues to the practicalities of improving performance in delivery he is able to contribute breadth and depth to the formation of strategy and the improvement of service.
Ian has worked with Contact Consulting on a variety of assignments since 2004.The skills required for his work with the Department of Health, grounded in practical experience of service delivery in a range of settings in his earlier career, make him a shrewd and insightful evaluator of services and in this role he has contributed to a number of Contact Consulting’s evaluations of sheltered housing. In his particular area of expertise he has, through Contact Consulting, supported the development of practice in Wales in relation to the delivery of community equipment services.
Ian enjoys swimming, snorkelling, walking, live theatre, eating out, music, reading and travel, folk music and entertaining.
