Nigel Appleton founded Contact Consulting in 1995 since when assignments have been completed for a range of statutory, voluntary and commercial partners. The main strands of Contact Consulting’s work include strategic and needs based feasibility studies, service evaluations and good practice documentation. Working at the interface of health, housing and social care Contact Consulting’s clients include the Department of Health, Department for Communities and Local Government, Welsh Assembly Government, local authorities and health bodies, together with service

Steve Appleton - Associate Consultant

Steve has eighteen years experience social care, housing and health. His most recent role was as Head of Delivery and Service Improvement for South Central Strategic Health Authority. His responsibility was leading strategic development, policy implementation and performance management in mental health, learning disability, substance misuse and health & social care in criminal justice.

Steve has recently undertaken work with the Department of Health, social and healthcare providers and the third sector to develop plans for new Social Enterprises which will deliver community social and healthcare services.

Peter Molyneux - Associate Consultant

Peter is an experienced consultant whose area of expertise is the interface of housing and health and in the governance of both statutory and voluntary organisations. Formerly Vice Chair of HACT and chair of its older persons committee he has a strong grasp of the range of issues involving the future of housing and care for older people. Peter divides his time between consultancy and work as Chair of Kensington and Chelsea PCT.

 

 

Martin Shreeve - Associate Consultant

Martin brings the experience of working for thirteen years as a Director of Social Services in the West Midlands and the in-depth knowledge of encouraging participation by older people developed during his time as the first Director of the Better Government for Older People programme. Martin has particular expertise in working with local authorities to develop a strategic context for service delivery in housing and care. Martin has extensive experience of the interface between statutory and voluntary organisations, at both national and local level, and of the issues of communication, accountability and governance that arise in this area
